The Metropolitan Community Power Hub has arrived!

We’re thrilled to announce that Victoria’s first metropolitan Community Power Hub has kicked off, led by the not-for-profit Yarra Energy Foundation (YEF).

The Metropolitan Community Power Hub (MCPH) will be at the forefront of Melbourne’s transition to clean energy, collaborating with local climate action groups and the community to help meet Victoria’s target of zero carbon emissions by 2050.

The MCPH will facilitate local projects on solar PV uptake, energy bill literacy and Get off Gas initiatives, as well as running workshops and information sessions on flagship project opportunities such as community batteries and greater access to renewable energy options for renters.

As the lead partner on this landmark project, YEF brings its strong track record of providing expert and independent advice in the renewable energy field, particularly through our highly successful solar programs.

This project is delivered by Sustainability Victoria on behalf of the Victorian Government, with funding for seven organisations across the state to work with their communities to support, develop and deliver locally-owned and cost-effective renewable energy projects.
